Fitzpatrick & Tucker Inc. is not your typical tax and accounting firm. We are a proactive, hands-on firm that harnesses the latest computer, internet technologies, and current tax laws to provide our clients with timely, accurate, and affordable tax and financial services.

BJ Tucker, CPA

B.J. received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from San Jose State University after moving to California from Denver, Iowa over forty years ago. Her services cover a broad range of business entities. She specializes in business accounting, management consulting, financial systems design, financial statement preparation, tax preparation and planning for business and personal clients. In addition, she has provided innovative financial planning involving stock options, retirement alternatives, and estates. B.J. has also served on the boards of various civic and non-profit organizations. She served for over seven years as treasurer of the Veterans Memorial & Support Foundation of Los Gatos that designed and built a memorial to all veterans in the Civic Center of Los Gatos.  She has been active in Soroptimist International of Los Gatos-Saratoga, a women's service organization that promotes human rights and the status of women and children throughout the world. B.J. lives in the Santa Cruz Mountains with her dog, Phoebe.  What keeps B.J. ticking is her love of the theater, reading, music, enthusiastic driving and time in Hawaii and Bodega Bay. 

Kathy Fitzpatrick, CPA

With four other siblings in the field, Kathy initially shied away from a career in accounting.  Eventually, this transplanted New Yorker finally gave into the family gene pool and embraced a career in public accounting.  Her clients include individuals, family groups, estates, trusts, private foundations, and small closely-held companies.  She provides planning, consulting, and compliance services.  Whether it is maximizing stock option payouts or structuring your estate, Kathy is available to assist you through the process. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Golden Gate University with the designation summa cum laude.  She then went onto to pursue a Masters in Taxation from San Jose State University where she received the Most Outstanding Student Award.  Kathy has given presentations to local attorneys, bankers and students and is constantly looking for ways to work as part of her clients integrated financial team.  She is an active member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Santa Clara County Estate Planning Council.  When not working Kathy enjoys volunteering in her children’s classroom, reading, and dreaming of her next vacation.

Jack L. Welkley, CPA (Retired)

Jack spent the early years of his career in the tax departments of three Big accounting firms (now the "Big 4"). He was certified originally in New York State and later in California.  After moving to California, he earned a Masters in Taxation degree from Golden Gate University.  During the last twenty plus years, Jack has served his clients in specialty areas of estate, retirement and stock option planning.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Utica College of Syracuse University, was named one of the top tax practitioners in the country by Money magazine in 1987, has completed the California Society of CPA's Estate Planning Certificate Program and is a Past President of the Santa Clara County Estate Planning Council (a group of over 150 estate planning professionals, consisting of attorneys, CPA's, CLU's and trust officer

Janine Mo, CPA

Janine received her Master of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She has been working in public accounting for over 10 years. Janine specialized in business and individual tax preparation, planning, business accounting, financial system setup, financial statement preparation, and QuickBooks support. In her spare time, Janine enjoys reading, travel and hiking with her husband and 2 lovely daughters.

Carly Denham

Carly received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from San Jose State University and is currently working on her Master of Science degree in Taxation.  With over twenty-five years in both industry and public accounting, she specializes in business and individual tax preparation and planning. financial statement preparation and QuickBooks support.  In addition, she has significant experience in compilation, review and audited financial statement engagements for both profit and nonprofit entities.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, learning new things, and experiencing live music.

Yin Liu

Yin received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from San Jose State University after moving to California from China with her family members.  She has been working in public accounting for over 5 years. Yin joined the firm in September 2019 as a Tax Professional. She specializes in business and individual tax preparation, tax projection, financial statement preparation. In her Leisure time, Yin likes reading, traveling, watching movies, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Mary Sauer

Mary joined the firm in September 2018 as a Tax Administrative Assistant.  She brings many years of administrative and customer service experience to the position.  Her priority is to ensure that every client’s tax processing goes smoothly.  In her free time, Mary enjoys reading, watching movies, various craft activities, and spending time with family and friends.

Michelle Edwards, Office Manager

Michelle joined the firm as our Office Manager in January 2017 and is here to ensure that day to day functions of the office run efficiently. She has many years of office experience, including work in several tax offices. Personalized, prompt and friendly client services are her highest priority.  She is happy to help in any way she can. 


Michelle was born and raised in Southeastern Wisconsin and moved to Chicago after meeting her husband.  They moved to Silicon Valley in 2010 when she was pregnant with their first son, and in 2016 they added another son.  In addition to her step-daughter who lives in Kansas, she has a Yorkie named Daisy.  She enjoys cooking, reading, and going camping whenever she can!
